How much does it cost to draught proof a sash window?
Renovate, repair and draught-proofing starts from £280 per window plus VAT
Replacing rotten sills, repairs to sashes, glazing and new ironmongery is in addition to this. For an accurate cost please contact us for a free survey and no obligation quotation.
How long does it take?
Generally we work on one or two windows a day depending on condition and size.
Is my home left secure each evening?
Yes each window worked on is completed during the day and your home is left clean and tidy each evening.
Is there much disruption during the process?
We try to do as much work to the sashes outside and use Festool dust extraction on our sanding power tools to minimise mess. The working area is dust sheeted and thoroughly vacuumed at the end of each day.
What wood will you replace my old seasoned pitch pine with if its beyond repair?
For replacement sills we use Sapele which is a hardwood and for all other sections including new joinery we use Accoya.
How are my windows left?
Your windows will be primed using Dulux primer/undercoat and new hardwood sills primed with an aluminium primer ready for final decoration.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in the pretty market town of Monmouth and cover Monmouthshire, Cardiff, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Bristol and anywhere in between.
